چکیده

Abstract The focus of this paper is to explore the use Fused Filament Fabrication technology, a material extrusion additive manufacturing by depositing melted Polilactic Acid (PLA) over substrate – fabric - instead on an empty building tray. textile’s composition, nozzle and plate temperature, printed PLA thickness geometry have been considered as variables that could influence structural adhesion properties study so, therefor, were took into consideration tested throughout printing process through specimens with different combined parameters. aim exploration was developing experimental procedure limitations capabilities technology textiles, which variables’ combination would contribute better overall result in development self-supporting textile based model, be apply contexts without need any extra external support. Results showed adherence correlated nozzle/building temperature thickness: higher provide adherence. weave didn´t reflect results but polyester felt exhibit maximum all sets temperatures. In addition, geometries reinforcement lines along stress direction provided results. These enable new application possibilities for FFF fabrics such interior, fashion shoe ware design.

Colored fused filament fabrication

Fig. 1. Our technique enables color printing with precisely controlled gradients using a filament printer. Le : The printer is equipped with an o -the-shelf nozzle that inputs multiple filaments (three in the picture) and outputs molten mixed plastic through a single exit hole. Such devices cannot directly be used to print gradients: the transition between mixtures takes time, and this timing v...

Simple and Versatile 3D Printed Microfluidics Using Fused Filament Fabrication.

The uptake of microfluidics by the wider scientific community has been limited by the fabrication barrier created by the skills and equipment required for the production of traditional microfluidic devices. Here we present simple 3D printed microfluidic devices using an inexpensive and readily accessible printer with commercially available printer materials. We demonstrate that previously repor...

Fabrication and optimisation of a fused filament 3D-printed microfluidic platform

A 3D-printed microfluidic device was designed and manufactured using a low cost ($2000) consumer grade fusion deposition modelling (FDM) 3D printer. FDM printers are not typically used, or are capable, of producing the fine detailed structures required for microfluidic fabrication. However, in this work, the optical transparency of the device was improved through manufacture optimisation to suc...

3D Microporous Scaffolds Manufactured via Combination of Fused Filament Fabrication and Direct Laser Writing Ablation

A 3D printing fused filament fabrication (FFF) approach has been implemented for the creation of microstructures having an internal 3D microstructure geometry. These objects were produced without any sacrificial structures or additional support materials, just by precisely tuning the nozzle heating, fan cooling and translation velocity parameters. The manufactured microporous structures out of ...
